Marta Nieto began her training as an actress in 2002 at the Acting School of Murcia.
EL CAMINO DE LOS INGLESES (Antonio Banderas) was her debut film as an actress in 2006. Thanks to the leading role she had in MOTHER (Rodrigo Sorogoyen, 2019), she has won multiple awards, including the Lion of Venice 2019 for best actress in the Horizonti section of the Venice Film Festival, the Golden Giraldillo 2019 for best female performance at the Seville European Film Festival and the Forqué 2019 Award for best female performance. She was also nominated as Best Actress in the EFA thanks to this protagonist role.
In 2021, she has premiered A PERFECT ENEMY (Kike Maillo), LASCIARSI UN GIORNO A ROMA (Edoardo Leo) and TRES (Juanjo Giménez) which gives her the nominations as Best Actress at the Forqu?, Feroz and Gaudí award in 2022.
HALF OF ANA is her debut film as writer-director. Meanwhile, Marta is about to premiere her first short film: SON, also written and directed by her.
